Poppy is one of our Virginia Opossum Ambassadors. She arrived at PWC as an orphan this summer and was found to not respond appropriately to external stimuli, making her unfit to live in the wild. Less than a year old, she is already settling into her new role as an ambassador and will help people better understand opossums.
Fun fact: Virginia Opossums are the only marsupial in the U.S. and Canada (they raise their young in a pouch).
