Ranger is one of our Great Horned Owl Ambassadors. He came to PWC as a fledgling with suspected rodenticide poisoning, which left him with lasting neurological damage and unable to survive in the wild. Now 2 years old, he’s helping our community learn about owls and conservation.
Fun fact: those "horns" on his head aren’t horns at all but rather specialized feathers called plumicorns.
