Ross is one of our Tarantula Ambassadors. He is a 10-year-old male Mexican Red Knee Tarantula and a new PWC ambassador this year. Born in captivity, he is not a candidate for life in the wild. Ross will help community members learn about tarantulas and their behaviors.
Fun fact: Tarantulas have an exoskeleton that must be shed as they grow, in a process called molting. While molting, a tarantula lies on its back and slowly sheds its entire exoskeleton in one piece.
