Waffles is one of our Tarantula Ambassadors. She is a 10-year-old Chaco Golden Knee Tarantula and a new PWC ambassador this year. Born in captivity, she is not a candidate for life in the wild. Waffles will help teach community members about tarantula species and their behavior.
Fun fact: Tarantulas in San Luis Obispo County spend most of the year underground in burrows and are primarily active during their short fall breeding season.
